Our story starts at Jimmy’s, the one and only dingy bar in Wrightsville, where slushies are your best friend. I didn’t know it then, but that night would quietly change my life. Not thinking twice about what the night might bring, an old buddy of ours, who some of you may know as Gaither, decided to play matchmaker and introduced me to Sean. At the time, Sean worked for a different agency, and we only exchanged a few words. I didn’t think much of it, and to be honest, I barely remembered the conversation the next day. But Sean? He remembered everything. He says I walked in, smiled, and completely stole his heart right then and there. Life went on but Sean didn’t forget. He eventually applied for a position at the agency where I worked. As he calls it “I chased after you”. Now this time I promise I do remember meeting him. Sean made himself known at work in a mysterious way. He refused to talk to me for months and there I was thinking, the most handsome man ever despises me. But what I didn’t know is that it took him nine months to build up the courage to ask me out on a date. He wanted to be sure, to do things right. And when he finally asked, everything just…clicked. I knew after just a few dates that he was it for me. It wasn’t flashy or over-the-top (except when he took me sky-diving and gave my mom a near heart attack) it was comfortable, grounding, and completely right. It felt like home. Our lives since then have been filled with what feels like endless memories. But our favorite has to be the day he proposed at Wrightsville, where it all began. The place where fate placed us in the same room, and where we now step into forever. This is our love story. A story that began in a bar, grew through patience and purpose, and found its home in each other.
