Way back in 1998, Sean and Laura were blessed to have been in the same kindergarten class at Liberty School. As a 6 year old, Sean would save Laura a seat on the bus to ride to school. They would steal pieces of blue “sticky tack” from the teacher (sorry Mrs. Saxonis!). They added it to a pile that they hid on the bus until one day they threw it out the window, being the rebellious 6 year olds they were. Sean and Laura went to school together from kindergarten through 6th grade and then his family moved to North Carolina for two years. Flash forward to Laura’s 8th grade graduation, Sean snuck in to the dance and they saw each other for the first time again. High school came and Sean and Laura happened to join the same group of friends (shout-out to The Crew!). They “dated” a few times but on July 3, 2009 started dating for real. The first real date they had was going to TGI Friday’s where they had to drive separately and meet there since neither had their license for more than 6 months . The years went by with lots of Chili’s dates, movie nights, Cape trips, etc. until both of them ended up choosing Bridgewater State to go to. College was filled with lots of fun, laughs, late nights, and great friends. Two years of adulting later, Sean and Laura went into Boston for lunch on a seemingly normal Saturday. After lunch, they decided to walk through Boston Public Garden to get to Beantown Pub to get a drink before heading home. On their walk, they were talking about how the date was 11/11. Laura said she has been wishing for the same thing every 11:11 for the past 8 years. Sean was then very insistent on going toward the water so they walked over. As Laura was looking at the skyline of Boston, she turned around. Sean was on one knee with a ring saying “is this what you’ve been wishing for?” (And a bunch of other nice things). A photographer was there to capture the moment. A long time coming, they are excitedly planning the wedding of their dreams for 7/19/19.
