We met at 7 Brothers Bar & Grill during their Anniversary Party. I had come with Josie (a Matron of Honor) and her now husband, when I went to say hi to a mutual friend, I ended up meeting Ryan, who was sitting with their group. He had just won tickets to a Brewers game, which led to some playful teasing and, eventually, a conversation that lasted all night. Ryan even made Joel (the Best Man) stay until bar close. We quietly started seeing each other in the months that followed, which made it extra funny when our friends, completely unaware, kept trying to set us up. Since then, Ryan and his two amazing kids, Chesney and Ethan, welcomed me into their lives, and we added one more to the crew, our son, Carson. Life has been full of love, laughter, and a lot of memories. Ryan proposed at the beach I grew up going to near my parents’ house. With help from my mom and sister, he set the scene with string lights, photos, candles, and flowers. It was beautiful, though a little chaotic too, with my mom holding Carson and my sister hiding in the weeds to snap pictures in the dark. Now we’re making it official, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
