We're getting married!

Laura was on Tinder for a grand total of 2 days. Peter was for a bit longer! But when they matched they were astonished to see they had several close friends in common, and these friends didn't know one another! We discovered after talking that were living very similar lives, but on opposite ends of the city! So thank you Tinder for helping us find one another! Our first date was so fun and felt so natural, and we've been smitten ever since.

4 years of dating, one house, and one puppy later, we started to look at rings. Laura knew that Peter was planning something, but was completely clueless when he popped the question on a date night in early April. We'd arranged for a nice dinner and drinks together at Rockwell Republic downtown after a long and especially busy week. We approached the hostess and were waiting for a table when Laura spotted her friend Amanda on the top level of the restaurant, waving at her and saying hi. As Laura became completely distracted trying to ask Amanda what she was up to that night, Peter sneakily took a knee and had to say Laura's name repeatedly (and loudly!) before she realized what was going on. She excitedly accepted and then looked up to the balcony to see a curtain pulled away. Behind it a bunch of our closest family and friends were cheering (and getting video and pictures!) and we joined them and had a lovely "date night" with all of them celebrating being officially engaged!
