FAQs

Question

When and Where is the Ceremony?

Answer

In lieu of a traditional ceremony, we were married at the County Courthouse in Douglas, AZ on November 15, 2024. Our wedding reception on August 2, 2025 is meant to be a simple celebration with our closest family and friends. We want the focus of our reception to be fun, food, and quality time with the people we love most, without a lot of extra fluff.

Question

Where is the link to your Registry?

Answer

We are not registered anywhere, however if you feel so inclined, you may donate to our Honeymoon Fund, which can be accessed using the link below. We appreciate your generosity! https://www.zola.com/registry/lauraandpatrickaugust2 Note: Because Pat is in the military, we currently split our time between Florham Park, New Jersey and Sierra Vista, Arizona. That being said, we do have to get back on a plane after the wedding. We kindly ask that our guests please avoid giving us anything that would need to be shipped back to Arizona. Thank you in advance!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

This is a child free event.

Question

What if I miss out on the Hotel Block?

Answer

Update: We added an additional 10+ rooms to the block, available to book until July 12, while vacancies last. If you miss the cutoff or would prefer to stay elsewhere, please take a look at the ALTERNATIVE LODGING subsection of the TRAVEL tab for more options.

Question

I have dietary restrictions - will the venue accommodate me?

Answer

Yes, of course! Patrick, Laura, and the Sterling Tavern event staff are committed to ensuring that ALL guests have a fun and safe evening, and that they get PLENTY of food to eat! When you RSVP, please LET US KNOW what dietary restrictions or allergies you may have so we can alert the venue as soon as possible. The venue has graciously agreed to allow anyone with dietary restrictions to order any appetizer + entree from the regular restaurant menu (there are several vegetarian and gluten free options, and pasta dishes can be accommodated to be gluten free). We suggest taking a look at the menu ahead of time so that both you and the venue may be better prepared. Please let us know what questions or concerns you have prior to the event date.

Question

I'm arriving on Friday - What is there to do in town?

Answer

Laura and Patrick will be staying at the Hyatt Regency from Friday 8/1 until Sunday 8/3. If you'll be in town, please let us know! We'd love to meet up with or coordinate an informal gathering for anyone who is in town. If you'd prefer to explore on your own, there are a great deal of bars, restaurants, and cafes on South Street and the Green, all walking distance from the hotel. There are also several historical sites and hiking trails within a short driving distance of downtown. Don't want to leave the hotel? Headquarters Plaza contains a few bars & restaurants, as well as an AMC movie theater and Crunch gym (the latter is free for guests with their hotel key). We've included more details in the Things to Do section of our website.

Question

Where can I park if I'm not staying overnight?

Answer

Please see the detailed explanation provided in the Travel Section of our website.
