Married Since 2015… But Let’s Pretend This is the Real One

Padraig and Laura met while both working onboard the ms Veendam sailing from New York City to Bermuda. Padraig was ending a contract as a third officer and Laura was just beginning her first ship contract as a theatrical singer. They met in the chartroom on the bridge of the ship, which just happened to be one deck below the gym. They were introduced by one of Paddy's coworkers who spotted Laura on the deck outside the gym. Paddy was charting a map and Laura was in between rehearsals, wearing gym gear and a full face of stage makeup. Despite Laura looking ridiculous, and Paddy being in the middle of work, they had a light bit of banter that day. After a few evenings chatting in the crew bar with a 'few' Jamesons, Padraig asked Laura out for a date in Bermuda in which they intended to take a bus to Crystal Caves but instead were so busy talking they found themselves on the other end of the island. The rest is history!
