Our wedding will be in the context of a full Catholic Mass. In addition to the Celebration of Matrimony, there will be a Liturgy of the Word (readings from the Bible), a homily, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist (communion). There will also be places throughout the Mass where a special nuptial blessing or prayer is said. All guests will receive a program that will help them follow along and participate in the Mass. We are very excited to celebrate this beautiful and sacred liturgy surrounded by our dearest friends and family.
Yes, absolutely! We will have programs to follow the order of the Mass as well as direction from Fr. Peter Rocca, the celebrant. We would love to share the faith that has deepened our relationship with all of our loved ones. We only ask that everyone be respectful and reverent at the ceremony, remembering that we are in the presence of the Lord. Please refrain from side conversations, phone usage, or other forms of disturbance.
All are welcome at Mass to pray and receive the peace and joy of the risen Christ. During Eucharistic Communion, Catholics, who are in a state of Grace, are welcome to come forward to receive the Eucharist. If you are not Catholic, or have not been practicing your Catholic faith, you are welcome to come forward to receive a blessing by crossing your arms across your chest or remain seated in your pew.
We are asking our guests to dress in cocktail attire. Men are encouraged to wear a sports coat, and women can wear knee-length or tea-length dresses.
No, the ceremony will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church while the reception will take place at La Bonne Vie Ranch in Fredericksburg, TX.
