Brittany has been close friends with Laura since college, sparked by coordinating a community garden volunteer trip together and leading to many silly adventures. She adores hugs, tea, train rides, and Laura's sweet potato kale stew. Brittany has been delighted to experience Mikhala's joy & warmth these past four years, and she is thrilled to celebrate Laura & Mikhala's love. A perfect day spent with the brides would include board games, a wandering walk, and a dance party in the woods.

Mikhala met Alexandra in their Floridian middle school school prime (capris + double tank layering, galore!!). Alex studied Opera, worked as a sailor aboard yachts, and traveled the globe for nearly a decade out of her backpack. She met her husband in Republic of Georgia (the country), where they lived and maintained a rural, off-grid homestead (until becoming pregnant!). She repatriated back to the USA after a long immigration journey, for her dream natural home birth to their baby, Teo (Miki’s nephew). She is the strong earth sign (aka helm) of her household; a loyal friend, loving wife, new Mother, coffee snob, film photographer, Land Rover lover, and culture enthusiast. She is passionate about foreign policy, women’s circles, post partum mental health, and world travel.
Jamie Franco Manigameli

Jamie met Mikhala in 2017 when starting grad school at Boston University School of Theology. Mikhala unlocked the door of Theology House for Jamie and her family, where the two were roommates, spent the day helping Jamie move in and completed the day eating Italian food in the North End with Jamie and her parents. This pretty much summarizes their friendship - accompanying one another into new seasons of life, showing up in the hard stuff, celebrating the good stuff, appreciating delicious foods together, and savoring all the small moments in between. For these reasons and more, Shrek is a cornerstone of their friendship. Jamie met Laura for the first time at a picnic in the arboretum and was dazzled by her natural magic and her orzo pasta salad. Jamie now lives in Omaha with her wife, Susi, and their two dogs, Violet and Zinnia. She could not be more excited to witness the love and life blooming from Mikhala and Laura's love.
Micayla LeLugas

Micayla and Laura met in college at Boston University and quickly became friends. Micayla is originally from New Mexico but has lived in the Boston area since college, and now works as a nurse with Mikhala as a coworker! She counts herself lucky to enjoy Jamaica Plain pond walks, many home cooked dinners, and beach time with Laura and Mikhala.

The Bozza Wang siblings bring joy and delight wherever they go! Our favorite buddies for reading library books, pajama dance parties, crafting, building pretend dog houses, sharing snacks, making homemade popsicles, and trips to the playground.
Reverend Maddie Herlong
Celebrant
Maddie and Mikhala met as seminary babies living in Theology House. From there, they moved to Montcalm Ave, where they lived together until Maddie returned to Georgia. Life in Boston would not have been the same for Maddie without this friendship. Late nights of weekly therapy watching This Is Us, laughing at Mik's witty banter (which is what Maddie misses most about living together), and surviving the beginning of the pandemic are core memories. Together, we often reflect on how proud 2016 Mik and Maddie would be of 2026 Mik and Maddie for making our dreams come true. Maddie is so happy that Mik found her love, Laura, and is honored to be part of the ceremony.
