Laura was so jaded by dating that she'd hand over her phone to her sister-in-law, Jackie, and tell her to swipe away. She'd then end up with messages from dozens of bearded guys, and in that mix was a "bearded and burly" guy named Mike. Mike started off the conversation with talking about dogs, and the rest is history.
