Caitlin Goebel

Maid of Honor

Laura and I were elementary friends whose friendship grew when we both became Kappas at the University of Arizona! I'll never forget running into each other at J.Crew to buy the same hot pink shorts ahead of rush our Freshman year- it was fate! We struggled through Chemistry together and then survived running a sorority house of 300+ girls. After being roommates for 5 years with little Louis the journey had to end because she met her forever. I remember Laura coming home the first day she met Matt and she was smitten over him, right then I knew he would be the one!

Nate Jabjiniak

Best Man

Matt and I became friends after fate led to us sitting next to each other at work. The typical coworker banter and lunch trips quickly gave way to deep discussions about life, our goals, and the fun things we like to do on our way to accomplishing them. Over the years those moments formed the basis of a strong friendship where we can navigate anything from figuring out our golf swings to escaping a herd of wild cattle. But from the beginning I could tell that no matter what life has in store for him, Matt was certain that he wanted Laura at his side. Their chemistry is self-evident, and the love they have for each other is matched only by Matt’s passion for puns. Jokes aside, I couldn’t be happier to be Matt’s Best Man, and to know that he is marrying an equally wonderful person in Laura.

Michelle Snyder

Bridesmaid

I met Laura in high school where we soon became inseparable. We bonded over our shared values and love for volleyball, food, introversion, and, of course, dachshunds. I was especially drawn to how kind, thoughtful, genuine, and mature she was, and to this day those are some of my favorite qualities about her. Our friendship eventually evolved to sisterhood as we grew up, supporting each other through the lows and celebrating with one another through the joys. I feel so grateful for our memories together! We have been separated by distance for nearly a decade now, but every time we get together, we reconnect instantly as if we have been alongside each other the whole time. I am so excited and honored to stand by Laura’s side and witness her marry her best friend!

Jose Holguin

Groomsman

I met Matt circa 1995 in Mrs. Zeeb’s kindergarten class at Harelson elementary school. I don’t actually remember the details of how we first met because it was over 25 years ago, but we quickly became friends and have remained friends for all this time. This journey of life seems to be zipping by quickly when I reflect on all the different phases of life Matt and I have been through, from Dragonball Z cards to sneaking into Matt’s cousin’s room so we could listen to Eminem’s latest CD, to being roommates in college. I am glad Matt and I have remained friends over all these years and I look forward to seeing him and Laura tie the knot!

Kelsey Trost

Bridesmaid

I hit the friend jackpot when I met Laura (and Matt!) on my first day at Vanguard. Matt and I were on the same team and sat next to each other our first year but it wasn't until a year or so later that Laura officially came into the mix. It was Matt's birthday and he invited us all to Tucson to celebrate at his favorite college bars. Laura and I were roomies for the weekend and it sealed the deal! My favorite nights with Laura are always our impromptu living room Britney Spears dance parties and many a Friday night cocktail hour!

Bob Hosmer

Groomsman

I first met Matt at Vanguard and over the course of the following years, I became his roommate, close friend, confidant, and pseudo business coach for whatever wild idea he conjured up during our late night chats. Whenever I’d give him constructive feedback on why Rompers for guys... or “Romp-hims” would not be a home run he would muster his notorious wide eyed look of shock. However, when I'd see his eyes focus and gleam was when he’d tell me stories about Laura, how smart and funny she was, and then he’d chuckle to himself under his breath and shake his head. And now thinking back, I consider myself lucky to have witnessed their relationship from the beginning, all the way to this new chapter in their life. I’m incredibly happy for him and Laura... and their bright future together.

Kristen Boyd

Bridesmaid

Laura and I met in 2014 when we were trying to navigate the stark transition between college sorority life and the corporate world as interns at Vanguard. We sat across from each other at a welcome dinner at the Streets of New York Pizza, and while it wasn't love at first slice, our friendship grew over a shared love for wine, a beautiful charcuterie board, and over-analyzing work shenanigans. When life throws curveballs we can always count on each other to bring a pinot grigio, pour a glass, and give a fresh take.

Wesley Chu

Groomsman

It's Wesley here from Austin, Texas. I met Matt back in my days at Cross MIddle School. I've only heard stories of him until the fateful day where he and I crossed paths. I'm glad that I met Matt as we remain friends to this day. It's easy for me to think up countless memories that we share. Playing Smash, going to Europe, and shooting hoops were some of my favorite memories. Whether he meant it or not, Matt also had a knack for some funny quotes and, most importantly, always inspired us to "be your best". I'm excited to see Matt and Laura on their big day!

Rikki Mulloy

Bridesmaid

From the moment we met, it was fate that we would forever be twinning! We quickly bonded over AJ’s iced tea, Orangetheory, Spin Classes, white wine and our love for travel! As the type “A" girls that we are, we crossed many cities off of our lists and ensured that we saw as much as possible in the time we had! From New York to DC to San Diego, you can count on Laura getting us lost (“Whatever you do, don’t get on the turnpike!” - we got on the turnpike), and of course both of us finding the best bottomless sangrias/mimosas in every city! We have the same taste, which of course meant we'd both be Royal Palms brides! I am so lucky to have Laura as a best friend and partner in crime and am honored to be a part of her special day.

Matt Johnson

Groomsman

I grew up with Matt Sr. in the luscious desert of Oro Valley. I was his young padawan for much of my life; following his footsteps as he blazed the trail of manhood. Whether it was getting through the social anxiety of middle school, the tribulations of high school, the experimentations of college, or the start of my career, Matt has always been woven into my life as a big brother. One of the earliest memories I have of Matt was our bonded over the love of Legos. So much so that we both traveled with our families to Legoland in San Diego - without telling each other. As I was walking around Legoland having the time of my life, low and behold, I run into Matt Sr. from Tucson, Arizona of all people. Our brotherhood flourished from there.

Katy Duniho

Bridesmaid

Laura and I likely first crossed paths at a date dash at the University of Arizona, but don't officially remember meeting until we both worked together at Vanguard. Through mutual friends we went to Disneyland together, and quickly realized after sharing a churro that we were soul sisters. Since then, we've shared a mutual love for Lilly Pulitzer, dance parties, good wine, and the art of gift giving. We have remained close friends despite living in different states, and love planning trips to visit each other each year!

Justin Turconi

Groomsman

I originally met Matt while at U of A, and we remained close over the years as we transitioned to Phoenix. We all know Matt as the KING of Dad jokes. No matter how much he develops professionally and as an adult, Matt stays true to his goofy side. One of my favorite memories is our first conversation together when he asked me, "Justin how do you talk so easily with girls?", and my immediate response was "well you definitely can't drop the Dad jokes out of the gate, you gotta save those for the second...or possibly third date". I love that even until this day he never lost that side of him. Very excited to see Matt and Laura venture into this next phase of their life, and Matt again I leave you with the advice to keep those jokes in check since everyone (Laura included) has a daily limit.
