Matt and Laura met in May 2014. I (Laura) was 22 years old living in Riverwest. My time was taken up working hard as a hairstylist and of course socializing. Being out, running around downtown, and going to the bars were my favorite. On a sunday burnt out from the work week, my friend dragged me out to get a bite to eat on water street. Multiple friends of ours were at Scooters, so we agreed on having “one drink.” Matt and his friends asked my friends to play beer pong. The first thing that came out of my mouth to Matt was, “ How old are you? You look too old to be going out downtown.” He proceeded to tell me he was 28 and on a whim decided to go out downtown for a change. Little did I know he would sweep me off my feet that summer. Matt was patient with me and didnt slow me down. He was always up for anything and still to this day treats me like a princess. If you know Matt well, you know he is always busy. When we met, he had just finished his undergrade and he had 3 months of no school, Until he started his Masters/CPA in fall. Matt is a perfectionist snd how we met at the perfect time, without him planning was destiny.
