We met at Dayton Children's Hospital. Matt was working as a second shift lead tech in the laboratory at the time and I was doing an internship through the ultrasound department. I had multiple friends who worked in the laboratory at DCH and decided to stop by at the end of my shift to say hello to them. I walked into the lab area asking around for my friend Daye. No one knew who she was but Matt did. He stopped and talked to me for a few minutes to let me know she was not working that day. As soon as I walked out the door, I text Daye and told her " I think I just met your cute single co-worker!" She then proceeded in helping us get in touch. A few days later she told me he didn't want to go on a date as he was too busy in school getting his MPH. Which honestly I was going to stop in the lab everyday until he said yes but thankfully a few days later he wanted my number and asked me on a date. Our first date was at the dog park where I met his dog Yukon. We hit it off and our next 3 dates involved dogs. He knew the way to my heart is to love animals. Now the rest is history and I am so glad he took a chance on me. Though I would have eventually changed his mind.
