We’re getting Married!

Mason and Laura met how a lot of people meet now, through online dating; about a month before the date above. They connected through so many idiosyncrasies that they have both had. However in true life fashion things pulled them apart, Mason was staying up north with his school and job while Laura’s job was moving her a bit further south. At least until October 22, 2015, when Laura was in an accident that put her on temporary bed rest with a broken back. During this time, Laura reached out to reconnect with Mason and it was as if no time had passed. They set their first date for November 6th, where they had a picnic at Louisa Lake in Milford, Ma. Mason would travel an hour and a half, three times a week to go see Laura while she was broken just to keep her company. Their love grew out of the conversations and time that they spent together and developed into what it is today.

A couple months before the family trip to North Carolina, Mason and Laura did research about things to do in the area they were staying, making plans to go paddle boating and hiking to a waterfall. Once there, they picked a day to go in order to have use of the car. However, the day before they went on their adventure Max, Mason’s little brother, asked for Laura and Mason to drop off the trailer at Max's job to fix the flat tire they got on the way down. Now Mason did not take this request well, “but we had plans!” He said. “Mason it’s fine, we can try to go a different day.” Laura replied, completely oblivious. “Fine.” Mason huffed and walked away. As the week went on they still never got that chance to explore. On the evening of Friday the thirteenth, as they were all about to sit down to dinner, Jaxon finally decides he wanted to meet his family prompting them all to head to the hospital; only for him to get really shy. As the Hours went by Laura started to feel a little hangry, convincing them to head to the car to run and grab tacos for everyone. While on the outside walkway, under the full moon, Mason asks Laura, “Are you mad at me?” “Not at all, I’m just not feeling well.” She replied. “Do you still love me?” Mason asks. “Of course I do, silly!” She replied as she turned around. Only to be rendered speechless. There he was on his knee, proposing to her using his ring. “Are you serious?” She asks starting to cry. “Yes, I want to marry you.” Mason replies. Laura said yes only to have Mason say, “but we can’t tell anyone for a couple weeks and I need my ring back so our families don’t find out.”
