We met through our amazing LGBT friends at NC State University during our graduate programs. He was studying technical communication, she was studying special education. We've always had this electric chemistry that was undeniable! We dated for four years before deciding on a long engagement. Laura proposed to Lane at the Pride Parade in Durham, NC in 2018. He was so surprised! Lane proposed to Laura in February 2019 at the Greensboro Science Center by the jellyfish, Laura's favorite attraction!
