***AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ALTITUDE***

Answer

Big Sky Mountain Village is located at 7500 feet above sea level. The ceremony will take place at 8800 feet. ***ALCOHOL HITS HARDER AT ALTITUDE*** ***1 drink at sea level = 2 drinks at altitude!*** Please be mindful of this. Drink plenty of water, and space out your drinks over the course of the events. We want everyone to have a great time, but even we notice a difference drinking in Big Sky versus Utah (Salt Lake City is at 4500ft, Park City is at about 7000ft). Also, you will be much closer to the sun, wear SUNSCREEN!

Are the events indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The happy hour and ceremony will be outdoors, weather-permitting. The cocktail hour will be outside on Peaks' terrace, while dinner and dancing will be inside the restaurant.

What should I wear to the Friday happy hour?

Answer

Anything from "dressy casual" to semi-formal is fine!

Question

What does "Mountain Formal Attire" mean for the ceremony and reception on Saturday?

Answer

It means regular formal attire with a twist, if you want. Regular formalwear is totally fine, or you can choose to add some mountain elements (nature-inspired colors, nature prints/patterns) or a piece of western flair (cowboy boots, hats, bolo ties, or western fabrics). You may have to walk across uneven ground or rocky terrain to get from the top of the Ramcharger 8 chairlift to Everett's deck for the ceremony, so choose your footwear with that in mind.

The ceremony is at the top of a mountain?! How do I get up there?

Answer

Everett's 8800 is located at the top of the Ramcharger 8 chairlift. All guests will receive a lift ticket good for scenic rides all day Saturday on both Ramcharger and the Swift Current. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this perk and take scenic rides before the ceremony! Please board Ramcharger around 2:30 to get up to the ceremony.

What will be served at each event?

Answer

The rehearsal happy hour will feature beer, wine and appetizers. The reception on Saturday will feature cocktails, beer, wine, appetizers, dinner, and CAKE! Shots/straight liquor will not be served (see top of this FAQ!). Please share any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.

Answer

Your invitation was addressed to all invited parties, including families, children and guests.

Will I get altitude sickness?

Answer

You might! Guests coming from sea level (and even those coming from higher locations) might experience headaches, dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue or shortness of breath. Hydrate WAY more than you think you need to! Drink WAY fewer alcoholic drinks that you might at home!

Answer

Scenic lift rides - your Saturday scenic lift ticket is good all day on both the Swift Current and Ramcharger We will update the "Things To Do" tab for a more detailed list of activities soon.
