We met in our hometown, York, Nebraska, way back in middle school. We went to different schools at the time and didn’t really get to know one another until halfway through our high school years. Josh infiltrated Laura’s friend group, we became fast friends, and started dating after a year and zero confirmation that we liked one another. Nine years, 1,000 lbs of pizza, and one dog later, Josh surprised Laura for the first time ever with a proposal disguised as his own birthday party.
