We're getting married!

The bride and groom met (with a little help from the bride's Aunt Cathy!) when they were paired up as bridesmaid and groomsman at Laura's cousins and Jon's friends wedding on NYE, 2021. Laura felt butterflies the second she laid eyes on him and remembers thinking, "this is Jon?! Thank you Aunt Cathy!!!!" Jon says he was smitten immediately, though needed many nudges to finally ask her to dance and for her phone number. That night, Laura waltzed into her hotel room announcing, "he likes me!" and texted her best friends that she had met the love of her life. Fast forward to the fourth of July when the two reconnected when Jon joined Laura and her cousins on a kayak trip and her family's party that night. The next day, Jon worked up the courage to ask Laura on a date. She of course agreed, and the two went on a walk. They hung out every night for the rest of that week, knowing this was becoming much more than just a wedding crush! The two parted ways again as Laura set off home to Texas, but this time, very much with the intention of seeing each other again, no matter what! Jon flew down to Texas a couple months later, and thus began their back and forth trips to Indiana and Texas for the next three years. Many adventures were had during those years, along with many trials, but Jon and Laura stuck by each others side through it all. Jon moved to Texas in March of 2025, and proposed to Laura on July 7th, 2025 while on a family vacation in Destin, Florida. It was perfect. The two of them are so excited for this next step in their relationship.
