Standard cocktail attire—just note that Colorado might be a little chilly still!
As much as we love your children and wish we could celebrate with everyone, we ask that only the named guests on your invitation be in attendance. Colorado has imposed a cap on how many guests we can have in attendance, and extra guests could very easily push us over the limit.
Morrison is 5,764 ft above sea level—the air is dry and the alcohol hits different. Drink plenty of water.
We strongly encourage everyone get tested prior to traveling to Colorado to ensure you're doing so safely, and if you have access to the vaccination (lucky you!) that you make arrangements to be fully vaccinated prior to the wedding. Obviously, we cannot ask or check if you have done either of these things, but hope that everyone can do their part in making this event safe for everyone! Lastly, we ask that everyone be mindful of the risk in travel, and to heed the CDC's recommendations to wear a mask, social distance, and to stay home if you're experiencing any symptoms.
Apart from asking that everyone gets tested and/or vaccinated before traveling to the wedding, we are encouraging (though not requiring) mask wearing at any point in the ceremony and reception so that you feel most comfortable. We plan to set up more chairs than there are people in attendance, so you can space out as you see necessary. Additionally, you should know that The Woodlands wedding venue is considered by the state of Colorado an outdoor venue—the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, and large barn doors and open windows in the reception area provide enough airflow to be deemed safe. All of our vendors are up to speed on COVID best practices during weddings and will work to ensure all spaces are safe. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available at the venue should you need either.
