Yes! Don’t forget your passport! Please double check to make sure your passport does not expire before MAY of 2025. Passports may take up to 3 months to arrive so please be sure to update or apply for a passport ASAP! Visit the link below to visit the US Department of State – Bureau of Consular Affairs to apply or renew your passport. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html Please review the Travel section of the site for this info plus info on immigration forms and recommendations for credit cards.
Some countries require that your passport be valid at least six months beyond the dates of your trip. Some airlines will not allow you to board if this requirement is not met. We recommend renewing so that your passport doesn't expire in 2025 (2026 expiration date or later to be safe)!
We are asking our guests to all dress in black for a fancy, sleek celebratory vibe!! The attire is formal/cocktail. Suits, or dress shirts and pants, long or cocktail length dresses/skirts are recommended. It will be warm when the sun is up and then drop to low 70s or high 60s when the sun goes down, and it may be breezy by the ocean.
Yes, all our guests are either invited as a couple, or are welcome to bring a plus one! We want you to be able to enjoy our celebration with a loved one, or at least a person you ADORE. ✨
Our wedding will be adults only, with the exception of immediate family members (2 nieces and a nephew). Thank you for honoring this and we hope you enjoy a beautiful evening away from the kiddos!!
Please RSVP online! Our invitations did not include actual RSVP cards. You will be asked to RSVP for multiple events, including the welcome party on Friday May 30th and the wedding on May 31st.
Please RSVP by March 31, so we can get our final numbers for the delicious food we'll be sharing with you, and finalize your seating.
You can fly into either Cabo San Lucas International Airport (CSL) or San Jose Del Cabo (SJD). We have used both of them for arriving or departing Cabo. CSL is closer to our hotel, but you likely have more options flying into SJD.
Just like at many US airports, there will be people trying to offer you a ride to where you're headed after you get past customs. We recommend walking past these people and going straight to pre-aranged transportation. ME Cabo has transportation that you can use, for a fee, that takes you directly from the airport to your hotel (and back). This is what Joey and I used, and it was very easy! The hotel reached out to arrange the transportation, we provided flight info, and they emailed us the info on how to find our driver (they hold big signs with ME Cabo) and are standing near a numbered column in a covered pavilion with other transportation is happening. We did the same thing when we stayed at a different hotel. We arranged the transportation with the hotel, and after customs, we walked past the people trying to offer rides, to the outdoor pavilion and found our driver who was holding a sign with the name of our hotel. If you're coming as part of a group, it may be worthwhile to use Vivo Luxury Services instead. You are all welcome to use a special discount code [lauraandjoey] for 10% off your airport transportation, regardless of where you're staying, if you book through Vivo Luxury Services: https://www.vivolx.com/. With this service, reservations are made online and prepaid and the transfers are reserved per vehicle not per person or couple. Rates start at $120 USD each way for a SUV (up to 6 passengers). Guests arriving in the same flight are welcome to share vehicle but one lead person must complete the booking and payment for the ride. It's possible this could be cheaper for you than paying per person with other providers. We used Uber and Lyft many times to get around once we were at the hotel, but we did prefer to use pre-arranged transportation to get to and from the airport. Also, the hotel with the room block (ME Cabo) includes transportation between the airport and the resort as an exclusive benefit that's available when you book.
We have reserved a block of rooms at ME Cabo; you can find more information on the Travel section of this website! https://www.melia.com/en/hotels/mexico/los-cabos/me-cabo There are different room types, and you may have the option to book through our room block and then upgrade, if there is availability. Please grab your room soon so we can add more if we need to. May is a popular travel month for Cabo and we want to make sure you have a wonderful accommodation to enjoy the weekend!
If you're staying at ME Cabo with us, you'll be provided with transportation to the venue (departing the hotel at 4:30 pm) and back to the hotel (leaving at 11:15pm). If you're staying elsewhere, please create a plan to arrive at the venue by 5. Uber and Lyft are easy to use there and we had good experiences doing that earlier this year!

We invite you to arrive at 5 pm, where you will be greeted with music, the chance to connect with other guests, and incredible views of the big rolling waves of the Pacific ocean and the famous arch in Cabo. The ceremony will begin at 5:15, and cocktail hour will take place between 6 and 7 pm.
As we're watching the weather, highs have been in the high 70s and lows have been in the high 60s. As we inch closer to June, highs could easily swing into the 80s. It's a very dry climate, and you can expect some breeze or wind by the ocean.
Yes! We are asking all our guests to dress in black! This will create a sleek and fancy vibe for us all and create some STRIKING photos! You're welcome to dress in formal or cocktail attire, please just find some fabulous and black for us. :) We created a Pinterest board to help you with some inspiration: https://pin.it/2dRs5HiUr
Our wedding will be in the beautiful outdoors! Sunset Monalisa is a restaurant built into the cliffs overlooking the ocean, and we'll be enjoying the evening throughout the various levels of the outdoor restaurant.
We will have passed appetizers during the cocktail hour, between 6 pm and 7 pm, and then a full dinner with delicious options, and a late night snack to help fuel our celebratory partying!!
Yes, we will have an open bar and ask our guests to enjoy themselves responsibly! Guests staying at ME Cabo will also have transportation provided to and from the venue.
We feel extremely fortunate and have no need for material gifts from our guests. Your participation in our celebration and your ongoing support of our union is our primary ask! But if you feel strongly about gifting something to us, we did set up a registry for you to support our honeymoon, where we get to enjoy each other's company in a beautiful location as husband and wife! You can find the registry here in our website.
Cabo San Lucas is considered very safe, although there are some dangers in any city. Pickpocketing or theft is possible if you're not cautious about your surroundings. You may also prefer to use private transportation to get around. We used Uber many times in Cabo and everything went very smoothly. Staying in the tourist areas (which are GORGEOUS) is a great way to be and feel as safe as possible.
Major credit cards are accepted in many places in Los Cabos; Visa and MasterCard are widely accepted. American Express are accepted in fewer locations. However, it’s a good rule of thumb to remember that "cash is king" in Cabo and you may not be able to use your credit or debit cards in all locations. Always ask at restaurants and shops if credit is accepted, as many smaller establishments do not accept credit cards. You may also want to alert your credit card companies that you will be traveling to Mexico so they don't put a freeze on your account when they see international charges.
A Medano Beach and Lover’s Beach (bay side only) in Cabo San Lucas are probably the safest places to swim. The bays of Chileno and Santa Maria are usually safe, but be careful if there are any swells. The beaches on the Pacific side are unsuitable for swimming, as rogue waves and strong undertows are common. Many of the beaches in the San José del Cabo area are great for walking, horseback riding and shore fishing, but not suitable for swimming. Always exercise caution, as there can be large swells during the summer, even on the Sea of Cortez. Always swim with a friend. Tell other people where you are going to swim and your expected return time. There are no lifeguards in Los Cabos. Beach resorts use a flag system to indicate water safety. Red indicates danger, yellow means caution and green signifies the water conditions are safe.
Our reception will end at 11 p.m.
