We would like to start the outdoor wedding ceremony at 4 pm, please plan accordingly.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
The ceremony and reception will be held at the same location, Powerhouse Community Center. The venue is on the beach and does not have a dedicated parking lot. Parking can be a challenge during busy summer months, so ridesharing and carpooling is encouraged. If driving, please arrive early to find a spot and walk to the venue. For free parking, we suggests use of the Del Mar Civic Center, located at 1050 Camino Del Mar. It will be a 10 to 15-minute walk to Powerhouse. The residential areas surrounding the Civic Center also have free street parking. In addition, the residential areas north of Powerhouse have free street parking, although availability tends to be limited. If you are able to find a metered spot on the street, the cost is $20.60 for the day (credit cards are accepted). The L'Auberge hotel has a relatively small public underground parking lot at the same metered rate, the entrance is on the south side of the hotel off 15th Street. The Del Mar Plaza is across the street from L'Auberge (to the east) and has a larger, two level public parking garage. The cost is $30 for the full day. The Seagrove parking lot is conveniently located across the street from Powerhouse but the rates are very high ($56 for up to 8 hours). You must enter from the south and pay with your cell phone via a barcode directed website. For all of the abovementioned parking lots, Del Mar has "Public Parking" street signs with a directional arrow. Look for the green circular sign with a large "P" in the middle. The City of Del Mar aggressively monitors their parking, so if you are parked illegally or exceed a time limit (such as a 2 hour limit), you should expect to receive a citation. Please don't take a chance, we only want good times! If you would like to drop off any guests, Powerhouse Park has a generously sized drop off/loading zone.
