In September 2017, Jeff and Laura agreed to meet for a date at Three’s Brewing located near the beautiful Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn. Jeff was very late, forcing Laura to wait outside watching dozens of people entering the bar. When he finally arrived, they went inside only to have individual anxiety attacks over how many people were inside. What’s the point of a date if you can’t talk or move? After wandering around from bar to bar, deciding at each to go somewhere else, they wound up at Blueprint, a quiet little bar in Park Slope, Brooklyn. They had a couple of drinks and walked around the neighborhood. Laura distinctly remembers walking up Union Street and Jeff saying he liked the Yankees that this would be someone special. She knew he felt the same when he tried to hide a fist pump to Laura saying she loves Thai food. While individually living in Brooklyn dealing with a subway system that never ran on time and pushing through tourists who were somehow amazed at buildings, Jeff and Laura decided that they needed to go on a vacation to get some peace and quiet. Vermont was the perfect location. After a few beer and s’mores fueled days doing nothing, one thing was clear: they fell in love with Vermont. So, Jeff and Laura took the next step in their relationship and did the obvious: moved to the NYC suburbs to add an hour and half train ride each way to work, not including the subway. While Westchester County had its perks in Tony’s Pizza, Laura’s family, and Yankees games a short Metro North ride away, something was still missing. They longed for the maple soaked state of Vermont. After discussing it, Jeff and Laura knew that they needed to move again, but this time to the Green Mountain State. On their 4 year anniversary, they were getting ready to leave to go out to dinner and Jeff handed Laura a ring that says "Where you lead, I will follow" and suggested they get married. Now they are excited to spend their life in Vermont together!
