Our story started as all great love stories do: on a dating app. Jacob messaged me first, and after some persistence on his end, I agreed to meet him for a drink. Our first date was at a cocktail bar, where we bonded over our love of whiskey and rap music. We ended up talking for so long, the bartender had to ask us to leave, so they could close up for the night. We both knew after that first date that this was something special. Exactly one year after we met for the first time, Jacob proposed on a quiet, cobblestone street in Tribeca. After I said YES(!!!), he brought me to our favorite cocktail bar, where our families were waiting to surprise me and celebrate together.
