Old Fisherman's Wharf has great chowder, gift shops, whale watching/cruises and is a historic site in the Monterey area - there is a beautiful coastal walk between Cannery Row and Old Fisherman's Wharf.
Waterfront street bordering Pacific Grove and Monterey - the aquarium is at the top of this street. There are a bunch of restaurants, activities, tourism spots and great views of the bay.
Alvarado Street is main street of downtown Monterey - there are a ton of restaurants and bars in the area and its walking distance from Old Fisherman's Wharf.

There are so many golf courses in the area. Some recommendations: Monterey Pines, Del Monte, Bayonet & Black Horse, Pacific Grove, or if you're feeling fancy - Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach

Carmel Valley is about a 30 minute drive away and has great scenery, lots of great winery tasting rooms and warm weather!
