Jack: I decided to join the Welcome Team at my church. Fast forward 2 weeks, and here comes this girl walking up to me and looking slightly confused. By this point my welcome speech was flawless, so I proceeded to wow her with my nuanced expertise. We ended up sitting together during the service, but after the last song she bolted out of there so fast I didn't even get the chance to say goodbye! Obviously not interested. Guess I'll post up at my welcome booth next week and wait for someone else... I'll let Laura tell the rest ;) Laura: I went home and started joking with my roommates that I met my future husband. I wasn’t sure if I’d even see Jack again but when I went back 2 weeks later, I saw him talking to a bunch of friends. I went up to him and thought of some made-up reason to talk to him. That’s when we exchanged numbers and he invited me to join his lifegroup at the Coldplay concert the next week. We eventually went on our first date at a local coffee shop (…which is where we learned neither of us drank coffee…). Every date thereafter, we just clicked. And after a trip to Australia 3 months in, we both realized this could be something for the long haul. :)
