After a long day fishing - we both caught each others eye on a "fishing" app. I believe Ian made a corny and romantic gesture of "Dang those eyes are soooo beautiful, I promise I am not phishing for a date!". She noticed he was I.T. and an ex chef , two things Laura knew nothing about so she replied. She liked how Ian used the I.T. term "Phishing" and she got the joke! (hence learning about that word from work) also a plus that he loved to cook. One thing we did have in common was our love for dogs and sports. We both chatted over the phone about swimming, soccer, and dogs. Laura gushed about how Ian was fostering a lab at the time and wanted to get together. Our first date was at Comensoli's, a nice Italian restaurant in down town Kalamazoo. We connected instantly and agreed to a second "picnic" date with the pup. After a wonderful second date at a local park while we watched the lab run and jump in the lake endlessly, a nice meal, the wind blowing Laura's hair perfectly, and we both had a great conversation. We noticed an odd lady walking towards our picnic table. Ian said, may I help you, she said no I'm just taking a bath. Laura said may I ask where? The lady said in the lake. After we were in shock and chuckling as she got in the lake with all her clothes - then no clothes, right in front of our romantic picnic date. We both had a good laugh. The lab even turned/tilted his head and was like... what the heck is going on here? Long story short Ian made Laura smile, laugh and fed her belly, by telling her our future company name.... - Super Hero Pretzels - She did a head turn, and Ian explained . . . Stark Industries meets Snyder Pretzels. For a moment she thought I owned some royalties, but then remembered I got the cheapest thing on the menu and even had a Groupon, so.. then two and two came together. We were struck with true love, and its still going strong with a little baby Snyder that has brought us so much joy as well as Ada, Jace, & Nala.
