Our love story

Good things take time

Laura and Graeme first met in high school! Growing up in a smaller school, they knew of each other and were friendly, but never especially close. After graduation, their lives took them in different directions. A few years later, Laura was attending college at CSU and living with her roommate, Maia. As they began searching for off-campus housing, they quickly realized rent was far beyond their budget. That’s when the idea of a third roommate came up. Maia, who had stayed in touch with Graeme, suggested he join them as he had just finished EMT school and was planning a move to Fort Collins. Laura’s response? “Yes! I love Graeme.” She had no idea how often she’d be saying that a year later. The trio quickly clicked and found an apartment full of “character” . That little apartment became the foundation of Laura and Graeme’s friendship. Between lavender sodas, shared Cosmos pizzas, games of Obra Dinn, and watching Avatar, the two grew inseparable. The year flew by, filled with countless memories they’d carry with them long after. As their lease came to an end, Graeme accepted a job in Longmont and made the move to shorten his commute, while Laura and Maia stayed in Fort Collins and found a new place together. Although saying goodbye to living together was incredibly difficult, it became the turning point in Laura and Graeme’s story. With the familiarity of being roommates gone, they realized just how much they missed each other. Not long after, they met for dinner and shared their first kiss. From there, their relationship blossomed. Through long drives, late-night phone calls, and every moment in between, their connection only grew stronger. Eventually, they moved in together, and on a trip to Boston, they found themselves engaged. Now it's time to write out their wedding story and the many journeys they will have for the rest of their lives.
