FAQs

Question

Will you need a passport to travel?

Answer

Yes! You will need to have a passport to travel to Mexico. We suggest getting your passport at least 3 months in advance so there are no delays.

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

Yes! The resort is kid friendly. We will be bringing our kids as well.

Question

Are flights included in the resort booking?

Answer

No. You have to book your flights separately. We are flying Alaska Airlines because they have a non stop flight directly to Cancun.

Question

What is covered in the all inclusive price for the resort?

Answer

Everything! Food, drinks, room service, on site entertainment. We suggest looking at the website for more information. It feels a little weird eating a meal and getting up from the table without paying. We usually bring cash to tip the hospitality staff. This is why we like all inclusive!

Question

Do we have any other adventures planned ?

Answer

No! This is YOUR vacation. We don’t have any other off site adventures planned. At the resort they have a place where you can book (for an extra cost) adventures. Snorkeling, boat rides, fishing, explorations, Mayan ruins tours, taking the ferry to Isla Mujeres, etc. There is so much to see and do. And while we are beach bums, we encourage our guests to do things they want to do!!

Question

What days will we be at the resort?

Answer

We are flying in January 10th and leaving the 18th. You do not need to stay the entire time.

Question

What type of room should I book?

Answer

Hyatt Ziva Cancun has 3 separate hotels. The property is huge! 2 of the hotels are family friendly, and the additional 1 is adult only. The dolphin view suites/room, king/queen double, are part of the family friendly resort. The swim up suites are also family friendly, but each child must be over the age of 13. The Turquoise Tower is adult only and you can usually see that the rooms have a jacuzzi on the balcony. No kids are allowed in that hotel. We usually just book an oceanfront double room because it has the best view of the incredible waters of Cancun. We don’t spend any time in our room, other than sleeping, so a luxury room with extra living spaces wasn’t a priority for us. All of the rooms are beautiful and well appointed. Any room, really has an incredible view.
