We met during medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine when I invited David to the West Virginia State fair. We discovered that we had so much in common including loving the outdoors, cooking good food and loving to spend time with our pets, friends and family. During the summer between first and second year of medical school we took the road trip of a lifetime, driving Davids ‘96 Ford Explorer from WV up through Maryland and Philadelphia to Canada seeing Niagara Falls at sunrise, camping at Agua Bay on Lake Superior, traveling down through South Dakota through Mount Rushmore and the Bad Lands down to Colorado to see Uncle Steve and then out to San Diego, California to visit Landon and Alexa, where we sold the Explorer and flew back to Charlotte, NC. Surviving the first two years of medical school together we enjoyed our time being able to do our third and fourth year rotations in the same town, together. We matched to the same program for internal medicine residency in Morganton, NC and bought a house together. We love the area we live in, our crazy zoo of four pets (Sugar Bear, Chocolate Chip, Finn and Oscar), our garden and most of all each other. We’ve supported each other through difficult times and enjoyed the happy times and can’t wait to spend the rest of our life together. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in April!!
