Ogunquit, named by the Abenaki tribe, means “Beautiful Place by the Sea."
Laura has vacationed in Ogunquit each summer with her family since she was born. When David coincidentally suggested Ogunquit as a location for their first weekend away, she was excited to show him one of her very favorite places. They even joked about potential wedding locations on that trip. David was immediately taken with the picturesque beauty of the area, and proposed to Laura at the nearby Cliff House several months later.

Marginal Way

The Marginal Way, a walking path along the coast, connects Perkins Cove to Ogunquit Beach. There are many benches with beautiful views along the way.

A great family hangout. You may want to take a trolley or walk to the beach from your hotel, as parking can be difficult (and pricey) in July!
