We're getting married!

Laura and Buddy met briefly at church when introduced by Buddy's best friend, Luke. A short time later, Buddy was the first person to show up to a small group that Laura was leading for Twentysomethings, even though he was 30. They became fast friends, bonding over their mutual love for Little Debbie Pumpkin Delights, board games, and Jesus. They discovered they had much more in common than they thought. Laura was attracted to his humor, intelligence, boldness, and his sweet beard. Buddy was attracted to her deep love for Jesus, her loving approach to others, her adventurous nature and her rocking dump truck booty. After Buddy decided to ask her out, they went on their first date on his birthday, November 6th, 2022 to Redding state park and Tequila Reel Authentic Mexican restaurant, because they both love tacos and queso. Soon after, Laura had a major surgery and he came to the hospital to support, where they played Monopoly Deal and Laura threw up in front of him. Surprisingly, he still stuck around. Buddy even became a Young Life leader and they served together in ministry. A year and a half-ish and many concerts, walks, camps, tacos, hikes, musicals, and other adventures later, they got engaged on Laura's birthday, March 16th, 2024 in Ocean City, Maryland, on the boardwalk. They are so excited to start their lives together and are so blessed to have so many others supporting and loving them into this new chapter!
