Travel Note
The Republic of Ireland currency is the Euro. There are ATM's in supermarkets, small shops and gas stations. All major credit cards are acceptable almost everywhere you go except for the smaller local pubs.
Flight
Shannon airport will be the most central airport for the shortest trip. And Dublin airport seems to have the best rates and only 90 minutes from Kinnitty Castle. Check out Farespotter.net for Ireland flight deals.
Rental Car
Getting around Ireland you can use rail, bus or hire a car for most flexibility. There are many tour operations and car hire companies. Car rental is the easiest way to get around. Ireland is serviced by Budget, Avis and Hertz. All rentals can be done in an office or online (remember they drive on the left side of the road).
