Places to Stay
The closest hotel to the church is the Silver Cloud Hotel (Broadway location). Hotels in the Lake Union neighborhood (Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, another Silver Cloud) are farther away but not unduly so. Hotels on the west side of the lake are farthest away (east is best, followed by south or north).
Downtown hotels abound but are likely to be more expensive. Hotels near Seattle Center will be a pain to get to. We strongly recommend not choosing a hotel that requires crossing Lake Washington (so, not in Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island) or heading out of the city limits on I-5 in either direction. Particularly on Friday, that's more traffic than anyone needs.
If you decide to look for an AirBnB or VRBO, look for listings in the following neighborhoods: Madrona (that's ours), Madison Park, Leschi, Mount Baker, Washington Park, Denny Blaine, Capitol Hill, or the Central District. Please feel free to send us an address and we can check it out for you.
