Laura was out with her friends Jose, Daniel, Richard, Sebastian and Svelti on a november day in 2016. Axel was out with his friend Luis Miguel. Laura knows Luis Miguel from a long time ago, and Axel went to school with Laura's friends. But they've never met before. Until one night, at a local beer place called Brau, Laura and her friends were hanging out while looking to the street in from of them, and one of her friends saw a Kia with a distinguished blue color that only a few people had at the time. Laura's friend instantly said "I think that's Axel! Let me call him" to what Laura replied "Who's Axel?". As her friend called Axel up, it was indeed him, her friend told Axel to turn around and come join us. As soon as Laura saw her Luis Miguel she said "OMG long time no see!" as they said hello to each other, Laura turned around and saw Axel walking towards her, with a stare she's never seen before, making her feel things she never felt before with just one look. As the night went on and they all hanged, Laura and Axel kept looking in their direction, as Laura made her best to stand up so she could leave and come back to get more of Axel's attention. And he did, he stared at her like she was the only one in the room. The time came for Axel and Luis Miguel to leave and as they did and Laura and her friends carried on, Sebastian got a text 10 minutes later, while laughing he showed Laura his text, it read: "Tell Laura I asked about her. I wanna see her again." The following days Laura got an Instagram and Snapchat notification of Axel wanting to add her as a friend on social media. She accepted and they had 2 - 3 interactions until the Spring of 2017. In spring of 2017, the selected camp monitors for La Yuca had to start getting together for training. On the first day of training all the monitors were there. Laura was sitting next to her two friends: Sebastian and Svelti. And a few minutes while it was about to start, Sebastian told Laura "Guess what? Axel's coming" and the same butterflies she got that day they met were starting to appear again. A few minutes later Laura watched as Axel was walking towards the training meeting. And when summer finally arrived, it was the start of an amazing summer fling... until it wasn't just a fling. At the end of the summer, Axel was going off to go live with his parents in Argentina. He wasn't sure when he was coming back, so they decided to enjoy it while it lasted. He left, but they continued to talk, on friendly terms, through text and video calls. This made their connection and story a LOT stronger. Until the Spring of 2018! Axel returned at the beginning of spring, just in time to be accepted as a camp monitor again, and so was Laura. But this summer was different. Things got better and the butterflies were more this year. At the end of the summer, they both knew. But neither would say something to make it official. Until October 28th came along, Axel asked Laura to be his girlfriend, and five years later here they are, getting married on the same day they decided to make their love official for the first time. Laura's birthday is february 4th, so it was no surprise that her and Axel will celebrate the whole weekend. It was also no surprise that she went to the salon and painted her nails. As it was no surprise as well that she wanted a brand new outfit for her birthday. So she did, she went to the salon and she bought a new outfit, while Axel made "reservations" at their favorite restaurant at 8:00 PM. It was also no surprise that her parents were hosting a dinner for their friends, Laura's house is always full of people! So while she was getting ready for her day, she went to the kitchen waiting for Axel to pick her up. She saw Pedro, her brother in law, in the kitchen checking out the movie theater's schedule. Her sister was getting ready for the movies, or so Laura thought! Everything was pretty much normal for her family and household on a friday night. Until 7:55 PM where Axel had not yet picked Laura up. And as she called him he said he changed the reservation to 8:30 PM. Laura was sooo hungry, and her mother offered her a snack, to what she said no to because she wanted to save her hunger for this special restaurant! But then the clock hit 8:25 PM and Axel was still not there. She called him and he said "I'm right up front", Laura told him to not come up, that she would go down so they don't waste time. And Axel said "I need some water", Laura said "Baby you can drink water at the restaurant pleeeeease I'm so hungry and we'll lose our reservation!". He insisted, and they went into the kitchen, Laura's mom gave him the water even before he asked for it. And as we were heading out, he said "Can we go up to our apartment to check on something your dad told me real quick?" but he was already bringing her up the stairs giving her no time to say no to that. Rolling her eyes while still kinda laughing they got to their apartment, everything was turned off except for their bedroom, and Laura said "Ugh, the workers left our room with the lights on, go check what my dad told you and I'll turn these off" as she walked, Axel opened their bedroom door, and it was full of beautiful lit candles and a lot of flowers on the floor. She was IN SHOCK!! The most beautiful feeling filled her body, as he proceeded to get on one knee and said things only they will remember and cherish forever in their hearts. february 3rd, the day our lives changed forever again. - Laura & Axel
