El Yunque National Forest
El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System but it is also a sacred place in Puerto Rican culture. This national treasure is an excellent destination if you want to immerse yourself in nature, from bathing in natural pools beneath waterfalls to taking in the gorgeous scenery from its many hiking trails.
Luquillo Beach
With El Yunque National Forest blooming in the background, it’s easy to see why this beautiful beach is such a draw. A fringe reef protects Luquillo Beach from raging surf, creating a calm sanctuary to enjoy pristine blue waters and golden sand. Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent, as well as kayaks. A small shack along the shore sells fresh coconut and pineapple juice. The Luquillo food kiosks are just a short stroll away, offering hundreds of delicious food & drink options.
Kioskos de Luquillo
Within minutes of your hotel & Luquillo Beach you'll find the infamous Luquillo Kiosks. This indulgent waterfront strip is comprised of a row of around 60 family-owned kiosks selling food, drinks, and souvenirs. Enjoy fresh seafood and flavorful local specialties like mofongo, bacalaítos, alcapurrias, pastelillos & empanadillas. This is a perfect pitstop before or after enjoying a beach day or a hiking day at El Yunque.
