From passing notes in class and late-night phone calls about everything and nothing, to growing into the women we are today, Lisa has been by my side through every phase of life. Somehow, through every twist and turn life threw our way, she’s been my constant—my rock, my reality check, my biggest cheerleader, and my heart’s safe place. After all these years, she still knows me better than most, and I couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without her standing beside me—just like she’s always been.

Jurrell and I have been close since kindergarten. From school days to grown-man responsibilities, he’s always been like a brother to me. Even when we lived far apart or when we went to different colleges, we made it a point to stay connected—visiting, catching up, and showing up for each other. Now, as girl dads raising daughters the same age, it feels like life has come full circle.
