We met on Hinge, and in the first few hours of messaging, we realized that we had a lot in common, including being involved with St Vincent de Paul. We had been talking for less than 24 hours before he asked me on a date. On our first date, he walked in with a mustache that wasn't in his pictures, and he kept apologizing all night long for how silly it looked, but then preceded to keep it for over a month after that. Little did he know that on our second date, he would accidentally meet my sister while we were on a walk downtown - she happened to be crossing the Purple People Bridge at the same time we were.

He suggested that we go on a walk downtown and asked if I would want to invite my sister to go with us. I thought 'sure, why not!' There were some pretty blooming trees along the Ohio Riverfront walk, and my sister suggested that we walk in the middle of them. After walking in them for a bit, he suggested that we take a picture. He preceded to get down on one knee, while my sister was capturing it all. He didn't know it at the time, but that day was also my parents anniversary.
