ready for it? yes! we met at a bar, "The Ivy Inn" in Princeton. it was one of those random yet VERY life changing events in which you can say "we both were at the right place at the right time". even though we only shared glances the first time we spotted each other, we already knew there was something particular about that guy/that girl. it took us only one more week to actually make the first move, yes you guessed it! yet again at the Ivy. (c'mon people! it was "karaoke night", we couldn't miss it!). being new in the country, I (Lau) absorbed every single detail of this interaction but STOPPED dead once I looked deeply into Pablo's eyes, gorgeous hazel, almond shaped eyes. add the awesome convo about food we had and Pablo's great sense of humor to that and... yeah, I knew it would take us to interesting places. for Pablo "it was the smile", the fact that "this girl can eat" and how easy it was being himself around her that did it. although shy at first, he did not hesitate to ask for my number and never ever stopped texting a "good morning beautiful" ever since till this day.

it was a weekend getaway he planned for us in NYC. we had only been dating up to that point but we knew we loved each other and said it the same night. by the end of the weekend we became a couple... a couple very much in love. now being here and looking back at it while writing this, we realize things happened when they were supposed to happen and we could not feel more blessed because of that. thank you universe for working in wonderful ways!

lau comes up with a plan... lau designs a book of love for pablo that later she uses as a symbol of promise and love... pablo has no idea of what's coming... lau proposes... pablo tears up and exclaims "wait, what?"... lau clarifies ... "marry me dummy!" pablo smiles and says "of course my love!, but I wanted to do it!" (propose) lau says "woooppsi!"... they both smile and kiss pablo shares the good news with his closest friends... lau had already told her plans to hers... and just like that... lau and pablo are engaged!! we will display a picture of our book of love, which to this day we use to write thoughts and memories every chance we get. this is our love story... a story we are still writing and are very happy to be sharing with you.
