FAQs

The Wedding Website of Latrice Coleman and Brendan Smith
Here are some questions that I've been asked so far. If you have any additional questions, please contact Jacqueline Meredith at (219) 678-8176, Latrice Coleman at (219) 210-2419, or Brendan Smith at (312) 907-6339
Question

Can I bring my child?

Answer

We ask that you do not bring your child. The guests are to be ages 21+ since this is an open bar event. (Each guest's plate includes top shelf open bar as well.)

Question

Can I bring as many people as I want with me to the wedding?

Answer

No. This is a formal, invite only event that requires an RSVP. Due to COVID restrictions, we may not be able to accommodate any guests who do not RSVP. MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER! The bride and groom has paid for the wedding per person to be sure that you have a seat and are able to join them for dinner. They have included a plus one in your invite if you are married. Please keep in mind that they could be over their limit of guests, so only the guests that are already invited can RSVP. Please be considerate as weddings are expensive so try not to bring a hoard of friends, cousins, etc. especially if they don't know the bride nor the groom. ALL of those invited will find your names in the system on zola.com.

Question

Will I need to bring money to buy drinks?

Answer

No. There will be an open bar so your plate includes top shelf alcohol of your choice.

Question

What if I forget to RSVP?

Answer

The bride and groom must do a final guest count 3 weeks prior to the event. If you fail to RSVP, you will not be seated until everyone who did RSVP is seated and ONLY if there are extra seats available. (EX: Someone did RSVP but didn't show up to the event.)

Question

Do you guys have a gift registry?

Answer

We have gift registries on zola.com, amazon.com, Bed Bath & Beyond stores, and Target. There will also be a wishing well for cards and cash gifts.

Question

I wanted to wait until it was closer to the deadline to RSVP, but now I can't. What happened?

Answer

We were hoping that we could accommodate the 280 people invited as the room holds up to 350 guests. We really didn't expect the pandemic to last as long as it did, but sadly it's still here. Because of it, The venue only allows 170 to be in the large ballroom. It was totally out of our control. We couldn't allow more people to RSVP when we had reached the max allowed.
