He was in college, I was in high school dual-enrolled in the same college. We started hanging out that year in 2012 and became good friends. On April 16, 2013 everyone of our little group of friends decided we wanted to go swimming at the school the next day. This is also the same day Joshua asked me "What would you say if I asked you out?" I answered, "I don't know, I'll think about it." Knowing me and how much I procrastinate, I would have been thinking forever lol. The next day at the pool out of nowhere Joshua didn't even let me answer his question, he just kissed me out the blue. The rest is history 😁. P.S. I eventually told him yes 🤣 Skip forward to June 23, 2020. We were celebrating Father's Day and His birthday that had just passed with our small friend group as well. We were having a very good time and ate. Then his dessert came, or so I thought. I'm taking pictures and videos because it's literally cotton candy on fire and it was cool. Little did I know everyone was out of their seats with their phones out and recording me. They told me to look inside the cotton candy and that's when I saw a ring and Joshua down on one knee. He asked me to spend the rest of his life with him and this time he let me answer his question. I said Yes!
