Bryce and I technically met in high school through sports, although at the time I didn’t even realize it was him. Years later, while I was working at the bank, I recognized him from pictures with a mutual friend. Not long after, that same friend convinced me to stop being a hermit and come out one night. II had to make the impossible decision of staying in my bed, eating tacos, and watching "Criminal Minds" or going out to a bar with a friend that I hadn't seen in a while. What I didn’t know was that Bryce was actually the one who suggested inviting me. They ended up winning and I joined them out for the night. That night we officially met, closed down the bars, drove to Glendive for late-night food, and even rescued some friends stuck on back roads. What started as a fun night turned into a friendship that quickly grew into something more. From barely knowing each other to weekly “old man volleyball” then spending nearly every day together, Bryce became my best friend. Two months later we shared our first kiss, and a month after that we officially started dating. Ten months later, at Christmas at my grandma’s house, my sister handed me what looked like a prank gift—an empty ring box. As I was laughing, Bryce got down on one knee and proposed in front of my family. It was the perfect surprise, and now we’re excited to start the next chapter of our lives together.
