Our How We Met story is a short but funny one. It starts out like the beginning of a bad joke. A man walks alone into a neighborhood bar. There are plenty of vacant seats in this empty bar to sit in, but he does not. Instead, he makes a beeline all the way to the back of the room and sits so close to me he might as well be in my lap! Awkward moment to say the least. Surely, he can just scoot over to give me some space especially considering I was already at the very end of the bench. Better yet maybe just move to one of the million vacant seats. But he did not. He just sat there silently staring ahead with his hands in his pocket. Is he shy? Is it rude for me to get up? This went on for a good long while. Finally I turned to him and screamed, "Aren't you gonna say something!?" He calmly responded in a thick Schwarzenegger accent, "Who me?" And that is how our journey began nearly 25 years ago at the Beauty Bar in San Francisco, CA. Now, of course, he has his version of the How We Met story, but that is his own to tell.
