We are making it official!

After dating for almost two and a half years, I knew it was time, but I wanted to make sure we were on the same page. On Saturday Sept 7, 2019 before going to dinner, I started dropping hints, letting her know how much I care about her, and reiterated how much she completes me. I really wanted to see what her thought process was at that moment and get an idea whether she wanted to take our relationship to the next level. Pei Wei was super busy, so we decided to kill some time and walk around Crabtree Valley Mall until our table was ready. I continued to ask questions throughout the day to accomplish my goal and I finally asked her “If she could see herself growing old with me”, and she actually said yes (that made my day). I suggested a few stores for us to go in, just to throw her off, eventually maneuver our way into Zales. As soon as we entered the store, the sales rep immediately sparked a conversation allowing me to get an idea as far as the style of her potential ring and her ring size. This one particular ring caught her eye and let’s just say, diamonds are truly a girls best friend! The buzzer for Pei Wei went off, and shortly thereafter, a voice in the back of my head kept telling me “get the ring”. While walking back to Pei Wei, I told her I forgot my drivers license back at Zales. Latonya had no clue what was transpiring right before her eyes. She continued to walk to Pei Wei and I followed my instincts, purchasing the ring that same day. I wanted that moment to be meaningful and special, so a week and a half later, on Thursday September 19, 2019, in our bedroom, on her birthday, playing our favorite song “ Why I Love you “ by Major, I asked Latonya Stephens to marry me and SHE SAID YES! The moment she said yes, I knew my life will never be the same. The story of our love is only the beginning and one day at a time, we will write our happy ending. Life offers many challenges but I know I can meet them with Latonya by my side.

We are extremely excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. While many may not be aware, but this is such a monumental moment for us. We cannot imagine growing old with anyone else, nor do we want to.
