While having a conversation with my cousin Beth and friend Darren in September 2020, I told them that I had given up on love. In the moment, Beth mentioned that she believed to have known someone that she thought was my “type.” She thought very highly of the woman in question and knew she had a great spirit about her after just meeting her ONE TIME. I’m like Beth, “you barely know her.” But, I trusted Beth’s suggestion and knew she wouldn’t steer me in the wrong direction. So I went on Instagram to find Tonya and to my surprise I thought she was very attractive and beautiful. I decided to be bold and send her a message. Although I sent Tonya a nice message, she ignored my message. Instead, she messages me on my business page on instagram because she needed headshots. SMH. I played her game and treated her like a client, knowing good and well that I wanted to get to know her. We started this joke “business first.” Eventually we exchanged numbers and haven’t stopped talking since October 12, 2020, to be exact! I knew after a couple times hanging out and having deep conversations that Tonya was truly THE ONE! Even before asking her to be my girlfriend, I had already made the decision that she was going to be my wife. I must make you all laugh at the reception about our first time seeing each other, so look forward to that.

Rudy and I met as a perfect depiction of "six degrees of separation." Back in 2018, I met such a genuine person named Beth through one of my dear friends Shkeila. Little did I know at the time, these two have known my future husband all of their lives. Fast-forward to year 2020, my name was mentioned during a conservation between Beth and her first cousin, who I lately found out was Rudy. She spoked very highly of me to the point that Rudy found me on Instagram and sent me a direct message. Now, anyone that knows me already can predict my next step: Initially, I ignored Rudy's message and instantly started to complete my "own" investigation by inquiring all about him through our mutual friend Shkeila. I had to find out everything I could about this handsome guy and why he would randomly message me. At the time, I needed head shots and found out he was a photographer. But, I never would have guessed my initial conversation about a "business" inquiry would turn into us becoming inseparable. Since the day Rudy asked me to be his girlfriend, I knew he was my answered prayer. From the way he loves God first then me, there's nothing that we cannot accomplish together.
