We're getting married!

Jake and Kristin met through ASSIST (a freshman organization at Texas A&M) but rarely interacted outside of scheduled activities. Their sophomore year they were on staff for ASSIST and started seeing each other 5-6 days of the week. Early spring semester a group of friends decided to attend Breakaway (an on campus Bible Study) and grab half-price pizza rolls at Gumby's afterward each week. As the weeks went by and friends dropped off due to other involvements and studies, soon it was just Jake and Kristin in attendance. While they're not sure when exactly feelings started to develop, good food and good conversation tend to make the heart grow fonder. You could say that things started getting serious when the two started sharing the same drink (yeah, yeah, yeah... germs or whatever but hey, they were broke college students). Jake finally mustered up the courage to voice his feelings on the 7th "date" and told Kristin that he thought she was incredible, beautiful and all around amazing. Kristin responded with the ever-romantic "that's nice" and "same". Due to strict policy in their organization against staff members dating, Jake and Kristin continued "hanging out" for the rest of the year. Jake stayed in College Station that summer and Kristin went to Cape Town, South Africa for study abroad. Despite the distance and time difference, the lovebirds found time and Kristin found enough wifi to FaceTime once a week. Jake knew during this time that he wanted Kristin to officially be his girlfriend and vowed to ask her as soon as she returned. And so he did. Jake and Kristin have been ~officially~ together since August of 2017 but their story goes back further; back to the seven pepperoni rolls, one ranch and ONE drink.
