On a cool night, we went back to the restaurant where we first took our conversations outside the office—the place where it all quietly began. Only one fire pit was lit, glowing like it had been waiting just for us. We stopped there, and he started telling me all the beautiful things he saw in us. Before I could fully take it in, he was suddenly down on one knee. I said “yes” without a second thought. When I looked up, the atmosphere had shifted—smiling faces everywhere.
