Today is the day!!!!

We met in Belleville, MI at what was then Texturz salon. I had attempted to take braids out of my hair and managed to tangle my hair so much at the top that I had no choice but to seek the help of a professional! I was referred to Jay-J, the owner of the salon by my cousin who had recently attempted the same thing I had. I entered that salon in 2005, looking for the help of a trained professional to fix the mess I had created. Jay was so welcoming and asked, "Now, why do you want to cut your hair off?" I had done such a good job hiding the top with a comb over and a head band that he hadn't noticed yet what I had done. Reluctantly, I showed him where I had to chop off the top of my hair. We laughed so much that day at what I had done to my hair but I was so happy with the end result. This man was my new stylist and eventually became my best friend.
