On May 13, 2023, David walked into a Mother’s Day event where he noticed Latanya; she was a food vendor that day, David did not know her name. But when He took one look at Latanya and immediately told his brother she was going to be his wife one day. The funny part of the day was how David purchased a dinner, he asked everyone in the event if they would like one. saying, “you get a dinner, you get a dinner, you can get a dinner”. Needless to say, he purchased five dinners from her. He made his presence known and asked for a business card. Latanya gave David a business card, a week later David was purchasing dinners throughout the week. Latanya was so focused on her business, JUST4U Catering, she was so excited that she signed up for Juneteenth. She called David to tell him the good news; at this point, they were starting to become friends. He told her that he has his own company and he rents out tables, chairs and tents and if she needed anything to let him know, Latanya knew that David came into her life for a reason. she immediately went on to tell him what she needed, and he agreed to help her set up at 3AM the morning of Juneteenth.
