Trey and I first met way back in Middle School in our Church's confirmation class. It wasn't until 10 years later though that we would start dating. Trey was in the Peacecorps in Morocco when covid hit and he had to end his contract early and come back home to Asheville. At that same time, I had just graduated from App state and I happened to be back home in Asheville at a graduation party across the street from his house, not knowing if he was home or not. Trey came over to the graduation party and we played corn hole against one another and one thing led to another and shortly after, Trey asked me on a date to go hike Black Balsam (both of our favorite hikes). Ever since then we have filled our time with more awesome adventures and amazing memories. After years of both of our families (not so secretly) plotting our marriage, Trey proposed to me while we were in southern Chile after Christmas. It was the most amazing experience of both of our lives and now we are SO excited for this next chapter of our lives and we can’t wait to share more experiences with you all. Though things have not gone to plan, God's plan is far greater than our own. From a postponement of our wedding to a deployment and a Zoom wedding, The Lord’s hand has been in every single part of each of our journeys. God is so good and we cannot wait to take this next step in faith and continue worshipping Him with our lives.
