In a fortunate stroke of serendipity, Erica and Peter’s story started on July 12, 2020. A mutual friend realized they lived on the same street (precisely 890 feet between houses) and suggested they have a BBQ and invite him. While they did not have the BBQ, they thought getting to know one of their neighbors seemed like a good idea and decided to have a social distancing drink in Erica’s backyard. Well, three bottles of wine and four and a half hours later the rest was history. The amount of people they knew in common was so endless, it was amazing they had never met before that night. It just goes to show you timing is everything. They met at the perfect time and place to start a new life together. It was not long before they realized there was something special going on between them and decided to share their relationship with family and friends. The family and friends ended up bonding so well on both sides that it further affirmed the relationship was truly meant to be. Over the next few months Erica and Peter fell in love and began to create a great life together. As each day passed, they began to realize that they had so much more in common than they initially thought. They both enjoyed sports, and never fought over favorite players or teams, except for Erica having a particular dislike for Peter’s Dallas Cowboys, which is perfectly understandable, since she was a lifelong Giants fan. They also had a shared love for music (mostly classic rock), movies and TV. Both were foodies, and loved eating at nice, trendy restaurants, but also liked nothing more than a good burger. Regarding food, the relationship wouldn’t have gotten past the starting gate if they didn’t agree on one very important thing – they would only eat their steaks medium rare. In 2022 Erica and Peter became an official family when they adopted an Australian Labradoodle named Riley. Riley brought them so much love and happiness that they decided to make her legitimate and take the next step. In November of 2023 Erica and Peter spent a weekend up at her family’s house in the Berkshires. They went to Café Adam (one of Erica’s favorite restaurants). After they ordered dessert Peter got down on one knee and asked Erica to marry him. It was one of the most romantic and special moments of their life. They are looking forward to their special day and celebrating with all of you.
