What she thought was an ordinary gathering with family and friends to celebrate the 4th of July on Saturday July 1st turned into more than she imagined. This is the story from the bride's perspective: I woke up Saturday morning, not in the best mood, with plans to attend a 4th of July gathering. I arrived later than I had planned and noticed that after an hour of being there, my mood had not improved. I remember going to my car to switch out my prescription sunglasses and while in the car I said a prayer. I do not recall the exact words but I remember asking God to help me to be present and in the moment as everyone is dealing with something. I simply wanted to enjoy the day. Thankfully, I was able to do this. About 3 hours later, my friend HerVonica came over and squeezed next me on the couch with a huge Kool-Aid grin on her face. Of course she was acting weird so after asking her what was going on, she told me that her brother had a friend that he thinks I should meet. She gave me details about him and showed me some pictures. With the encouragement from some other girlfriends, who tuned into the conversation, I gave her permission to give him my number....stay tuned. What he thought was an ordinary Saturday of resting at home, watching tv and just relaxing turned into something unexpected. This is the groom's story: It was a normal Saturday, like usual I was at home enjoying the start of my vacation. I had plans that day to go to Tampa with my sister to purchase some fireworks. After traveling to Tampa and back to Lake Wales, I came home and was lounging watching T.V. when I received a call from my friend Cornelius. I answered the phone and he was "like bro I got someone I want you to meet, send me a pic". I agreed but was also kind of confused. I sent the picture and about 2 minutes later I received a text from Cornelius. The text was a picture of a woman sitting on a couch holding a baby. I text back asking who is she, she is cute. We text back and forth before I received her number....the conclusion. We talked on the phone for over 3 hours that night/early morning, with plans to talk the next day. We talked more that week and decided to have an official first date on July 8th. We had our 2nd date on July 15th and became officially a couple on July 18th. We are thankful to God for allowing this union to take place. While we wish it was sooner, his timing was perfect. We are also thankful to our family and friends for the love and support and we are excited to celebrate our wedding with all of you. #KilliebrewHawthornePerfectTime
